The unitard base is made of nude power mesh and filled with hand cut appliqués. The coat has pearl and feather details that can be removed for washing, and has wire and boning to maintain the shape.
My nephew, River 13, just underwent open heart surgery a couple weeks back to repair a hole he was born with. It was really hard knowing him and my sister were going through such a difficult life moment, and I needed somewhere to put all those feelings. So, I poured all the light, love and vibrant colors… all the strength and resiliency… and all the fierce wonder of a human being that River will get to grow to be… and over the roller coaster of emotions that has been these last few weeks, it evolved into this gorgeous piece of art. River is doing great now, and was able to go back to school this week. ❤️
